Gros Morne from Woody Point

'Gros Morne from Woody Point'
During a visit to Gros Morne National Park this year, we spent several days driving from Trout River in the south to Western Brook Pond in the north, hiking trails and taking hundreds of photos. Wherever we went the landscapes were stunning and almost always surprising. (see Tuckamore, Rugged Country, and The Tablelands)

But, if you were unable to hike or perhaps didn't have the time to drive, the town of Woody Point NL would be a great place to capture, from one location, the majesty of Gros Morne National Park. The view in every direction is breathtaking: Gros Morne Mountain, The Tablelands, Bonne Bay.

It is difficult to write about Gros Morne without using superlatives (e.g. stunning, breathtaking, spectacular, amazing, wonderful, majestic). Nevertheless, it is all those things.
