Mesmerized by Lake Superior

Northwest from Agawa - Lake Superior Provincial Park, Ontario

While I favour Lake Superior's moody, brooding, dark days (Gitche Gumee Gloaming), the lake can mesmerize with different moods.

'Gitche Gumee Gloaming'
In Northwest from Agawa Bay, the sun is setting but has not yet produced those orange and red hues associated with thousands of sunset photos. I find the glow, and disappearing horizon, hypnotic. Look at it for a while. I think you will see what I mean.

Shooting a photograph across a body of water can be fascinating or frustrating. Any change in the light alters the image (that's photography) but water reflects and refracts modifying the appearance even more. Then add or remove the influence of wind. It changes again.

Lake Superior makes its presence known. When I am near this lake I feel it even when I cannot see it. I am not just talking about the weather. Have you experienced this?
