Batchawana Bay Blues

Batchawana Bay Blues - on Lake Superior

Stormy weather can alter the light affecting the appearance of water, skies and landscapes. As children we learn that skies are blue and land is brown but in this photo the opposite is true. What's more, the evergreens are black or at least a very dark blue.

In this curious twilight after the storm, everything has changed. What we thought we knew is not actually the case. And yet, the only thing that is different is the light.

In life, as in photography, seeing things in a different light can change your mind.
